Bio

Crista Rock has always had her hand on a camera. She started shooting at the young age of 5 years old. Graduating high school at 16 she went to College that summer in Cleveland Ohio where she discovered moving pictures in her first video production class. At 19 she took employment at the Local College TV station and won her first TELLY award. At 21 she became Stage Manager at EDR Studios in Cleveland. New Orleans had always been her love and so at 23 she packed up and moved to NOLA and took a job as a Photojournalist at WDSU. After a long 8-year career, 2 Associated Press awards and 2 Press Club awards she ventured out on her own. Her first full-length documentary “NOLAbound” premiered at the JOY Theater in March 2012.
