The disaster area stretches over 20 parishes. Some 30,000 people were rescued — not just by the National Guard and official search and rescue teams, but by neighbors equipped with personal boats known as the “Cajun Navy”. I went to try and help by documenting the areas that weren’t being covered by the media. This is Sorrento’s fight.
